If you thought you can watch one after another film for three days this Sankranthi season, you are in for a disappointment now. The news is that Poola Rangadu has decided to follow in the footsteps of Adhinayakudu, Nippu, Snehithudu and god knows how many more films. K Achi Reddy's Sunil-starrer, touted from the beginning as the biggest release in the career of Sunil, and proudly advertised to be releasing in 450 theatres, for sure on Jan. 14, will be released only two or three weeks later.
This means that The Businessman and Bodyguard will have a field day at the box office. Reasons for the postponement at the last moment are not known. It is all the more mystifying because the movie is backed by RR Movie Makers (which is presenting Poola..).
The reason trade circles may offer is that since RR Movie Makers has another big release, The Businessman (which is produced by RR), releasing on Jan. 11, Poola..'s makers might have thought it prudent to space out the release dates by some time.
After the release, of course, Sunil would have to slug it out with Balakrishna, director Shankar and Ravi Teja.
