"He Was Chasing Car": Mother Of 'Cow Vigilante' Behind Student's Killing

A recent incident in Haryana's Faridabad has raised concerns about the activities of self-proclaimed 'cow vigilantes'. On August 23, a Class 12 student named Aryan Mishra was killed by five people who mistook him for a cattle smuggler. The main accused, Anil Kaushik, and four others were arrested by the Faridabad Police.

However, the police maintained that they had no evidence to prove that the attackers were 'cow vigilantes' or associated with any such organization. Contrary to the police claims, the mother of the main accused admitted that her son was a "cow protector" and was involved in chasing the car in which the student was killed. She claimed that her son did not fire the bullet that killed the student and that he was innocent, highlighting his work in "cow protection" as proof of his good behavior.

Further investigation by NDTV revealed that Anil Kaushik's organization, 'Live for Nation', had YouTube videos showcasing its members engaging in cow protection activities, including chasing people in cars. NDTV also found vehicles at Kaushik's home and office with 'Gau Raksha Dal' and 'Live for Nation' written on them, suggesting a clear connection to cow vigilante activities. The incident has raised questions about the role of self-proclaimed 'cow vigilantes' and their involvement in violent activities. It also highlights the need for law enforcement to take a more proactive approach in addressing these issues and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions.
