5. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has almost completed its probe into the case and has ruled out gang-rape, indicating that only one person, Sanjay Roy, was involved.
6. The Trinamool Congress has posted on social media, stating that the CBI's findings confirmed what the Kolkata Police had established earlier, and that the BJP's conspiracy theories had been exposed.

8. The Supreme Court and the Calcutta High Court have also questioned the state government and the police over their handling of the case, including delays in filing a police case and appointing the ex-hospital chief to head another hospital despite his arrest by the CBI.
