Mushfiqur Rahim Makes History: First Bangladesh Player to Play 100 Tests

Bangladesh's star wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim has achieved a rare feat, becoming the first player from his country to play 100 Test matches. The second Test against Ireland, which began on November 19 at the Dhaka venue, marked a significant milestone in Rahim's career.

Rahim made his Test debut in 2005 and has since played 99 matches, scoring 6351 runs in 182 innings with a batting average of 38. He has hit 12 centuries and 27 fifties, with his highest score being 219 not out.

To commemorate this achievement, Rahim was presented with a special cap by former captain Habibul Bashar, Bangladesh's first Test player Akram Khan, and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Mahmmud Amimul Islam.
